Alchemist in the Lab w/ Rick Ross
Rick Ross in the lab with Alchemist as they enjoy each other's company, by partaking in a casual smoke & listening to some divine compositons. Apparently some of these compositions will make Ross's upcoming album, 'God Forgives, I Don't', I might have to be on the lookout for that one.

Kid Capri Rocks Some 45's @ Crotona Park:NYC
I'm not much of a Kid Capri fan, but in this video, he rocks 45's, and drops some ill soulful & funky joints. Not much of a fan of droppin' joints without attempting to mix them, but Kid Capri pulls it off. Scratching in 45's & throwing them in on point, got me diggin' his set, check it out:

Look-a-like of the Day...
I bring it back to WWE & MLB for this next look-a-like. Minnesota Twins slugger, Justin Morneau looking like Superstar, John Cena, let's take a look:
DOOMSTARKS-Victory Lap
We heard the Madvillain remix to Victory Laps earlier this month on Rosenberg’s Hot 97 radio show, but you can pre-order the vinyl now, which will include the original version, instrumental and the remix to the track. They will also be selling limited edition cassette tapes for the single so be on the lookout for those.
Here's a look at that cassette tape, dope!
After years of speculation, rumours and (im)patient waiting, the first taste of DoomStarks the collaborative project between the illusive DOOM and Ghostface Killah is here.
If you managed to purchase the limited edition mystery DOOM x Akomplice box that was released a few months ago you may have received a super limited red tape featuring the Madvillainz (DOOM x Madlib) remix of the first cut from Doom/Starks “Victory Laps”.
Nature Sounds who will be releasing the DoomStarks project has revealed via twitter that the un-remixed original version will be available on iTunes on July 26th and there is a 12″ special edition picture disc released on August 30th, which you can pre-order now.
This is the first single from the much anticipated Ghostface/MF DOOM album.
The Errand Boy
Family Guy spoofs this classic Jerry Lewis bit from the film, The Errand Boy, Circa 1961. Hilarious.

Bump of the Day
This edition of "Bump of the Day" brings us back to Sirius XM's Chill channel, they rocked this cut that had me in a trance while cruising the 605 fwy. Eddie C's 'Love Journey', is the joint. Hypnotizing melody that seems to take us on a ride through the galaxy. Really soothing trance-like musical trip, let's ride with this one:

Rios v Antillon Fight Review
Brandon Rios vs Urbano Antillon simply had fireworks written all over it. Last night at the Home Depot Center, a sense of nostalgia filled the outdoor venue in Carson. It seemed everyone knew that these two warriors would give it their all in the ring, and to our pleasure they did just that. As soon as the undercard fight of Molina v Cintron finished and cleared, you can immediately feel the electricity start to build as we all knew what was next. Each fighter had their own band setting up shop as they played for each fighter as they made their entrance. Antillon had the norteno band up in the ring playing while he made his way into the squared circle, as Rios had a tamborazo band near the entrance as he made his walk into the ring, the stage was set.
From the beginning of the bell these two went toe-to-toe fighting from the inside that produced a great style that us fans greatly enjoyed. Trading shots from the 1st round, these two warriors had the fans going in a frenzy, "That's what we came here to see" was what I was screaming at the top of my lungs after that 1st round that had everyone in attendance going insane. Rios went in on Antillon with great shots to the body & uppercuts that I saw gave him the round. The second round saw Antillon land some good hooks, and one that stunned Rios at the end of the round that sparked a verbal confrontation between the two requiring their corners to seperate them, this was indeed a great fight in full force. The 3rd Round belonged to Rios as he knocked down Antillon twice, one knock down had Antillon go face first to the mat. The ref put a halt to the bout when Urbano was staggering in the ring, despite the fight going only 3 rounds, I had witnessed a great fight. It was a a pleasure to see this fight in person, thoroughly enjoyed Rios v Antillon!

Shot of the Day...
Derek Jeter's 3,000 hit was a homerun, here you can see the ball still unclaimed, that's a very valuable baseball right there.
Bump of the Day
For this edition of 'Bump of the Day' I venture off from Adult Swim, although I can see them rockin' this as a Bump. I heard this on Chill on Sirius XM this past week while driving, it has a sense of movement to it. It's the type of track that I imagine taking a stroll at a crowded place, with this shagadelic tune playing to your every move.
Here it is, Coco Steel & Lovebombs-Yachts(A Man Called Adam Remix)

ATCQ's 'Scenario' Performed Live on Arsenio Hall *Circa 1992
Just caught the ATCQ documentary last night, loved it, the only thing I wished they would have delved into was "Scenario" featuring The Leaders of the New School. Such an energetic track, would of loved to get the inside scoop on the creation of this track. For some reason it was left off the documentary, so here is some light on 'Scenario' performed live on the Arsenio Hall Show, plus sit-down.

Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios vs Urbano Antillon Preview
This Saturday July 9th 2011, Brandon "Bam Bam" Rios will make his first title defense against Urbano Antillon at Home Depot Center in Carson, CA for the Lightweight Championship. They say styles make fights, and these 2 warriors have the potential to make a bid for 'Fight of the Year' in 2011. Rios is coming off his championship victory over Miguel Acosta in a thriller, as Antillon came up short in defeat against Humberto "Zorrita" Soto, in a fight that many considered the "Fight of the Year" last year. Rios & Antillon compliment each other's fight style beautifully in my opinion, they only know how to come foward and throw punches, not worried about taking a punch in order to get their blows in.
Although I respect and admire Urbano's relentless offensive style, I still would choose "Bam Bam" to come out victorious in his first title defense. Rios's aggressive, 'come at you' approach might prove to be 'Bam Bam's' bread & butter that will be too much for Antillon to take. Nevertheless, I'm expecting fireworks, and I'm super excited to have my ticket to watch this fight live at Home Depot Center! You can still get your tix at ticketmaster & the Home Depot Ctr. box office, if not, catch it live on Showtime Sat. Jul 9th at 7pm Pacific Time, set your DVR's because this one should be a beauty!
