Bump of the Day
Oh my goodness! This cut is mad nostalgic...takes me back to when I was in my early teen years staying up late listening to Power Tools & Groove TV introduce Jungle to the west coast listeners. I was so mesmerized by this particular cut, Goldie's 'Inner City Life', I can sit & listen to this over & over again!
The video as I remember it back then on Ch. 38, I think it was, Groove TV!

Q-Tip Talks About Busta Rhymes & Scenario
One major thing that was missing from Michael Rappaport's A Tribe Called Quest's Documentary, I thought, was that they never mentioned 'Scenario'. Here's Q-Tip giving some insight on the track along with the contribution of Busta Rhymes. This clip would've been gold for the documentary, I'm telling you!

Thud Rumble Art Gallery
Q-bert shows us around the Thud Rumble Art Gallery. Some pretty ill pieces are displayed, including a piece by Downtimer, who by the way, linked up with Project I Clothing a few years back & came out with a dope design. Here is Downtimer rockin' the Project I 'Prestige' Tee.
DJ Quik Does Do-Over
Seems like the main attraction this past weekend was DJ Quik rockin' Do-Over, he lived up to his name, 'DJ Quik', as he transitioned from funky R&B Soul joints, and cracked the mic to give brief info about certein tracks he was droppin. I think I'm gonna make a true effort to get my behind to Do-Over this weekened, dag nammet!

I'm not 100% sure if this guy is for real, but if Bill Dance really goofs up this much during the taping of his show, he's the modern version of the 3 Stooges. Watch & enjoy his chaos!

Shot of the Day...
After featuring the Mono EFX Flyby Bag on "Shot of The Day", here it is once again making it a duece onto the segment. I finally got my hands on this awesome bag. I tried Turntable Lab twice, one time they thought they had one, but when I got there, they only had the Compressor bag. After showing them the pic on my "Shot of the Day" segment, they too admired the beauty of the 'efx flyby' bag. So my quest led me to Pro Sound's headquarters in Cypress, they had a few in stock. I had ordered & had products shipped before from Pro Sound, but I actually never made the trip to their location. Once they assured me that they had the EFX bag, I was destined to check their shop out & scoop one up. The sales clerk who checked the bag out for me also noticed that this was a 'bad ass' bag, don't know how many peeps have actually seen this bag before, be on the lookout for Killah Noez sporting one.

Mayer Hawthorne-A Long TIme:Video
Here's one of my current favorite singles, Mayer Hawthorne's "A Long Time". Considered 'yacht-rock', Hawthorne delivers his familiar soulful voice one this track, really feeling this one. The video is a doozie as well, it has that Soul Train/80's School Dance feel to it, really far out, enjoy.
Be on the lookout for Mayer's new album, "How Do You Do" set to drop in a few months.

Do Over:The Best Party In Town
So far I've missed this whole season of the Do-Over, & boy have I missed some fresh parties! Do-Over just doesn't let down at all, this season they've brought out, Jazzy Jeff, Free The Robots, Questlove, Craze, Rhettmatic, just to name a few. One of my goals this year is to make it out to at least one Do-Over this year, no excuse that I should be missing such incredible day parties, especially when they're free!!!
