'Lesson of the Day' w/ R.A. The Rugged Man-Ep. 1
"R.A. what's the lesson of the day Rugged Man"
Brood Baby has joined forces with legendary hip-hop artist and journalist R.A. the Rugged Man to present Lesson of the Day, a new web series detailing hip-hop history lessons and personal rap stories from the Rugged Man. The first episode dissects Big Daddy Kane’s slept-on and under-appreciated third album, Taste of Chocolate [1990 / Warner Bros]. Unlike Kane’s first two classic releases, the album failed to achieve RIAA Gold certification, and was seen as a major disappointment in the hip-hop community. R.A. breaks down the record, reflects on hip-hop in the year 1990, and discusses the ups and downs in the career of one of his greatest rap influences.

Fight Review: Salido v Garcia
On Saturday at Madison Square Garden in New York, Mikey Garcia went to work against Orlando Salido. From the opening bell, Garcia dominated Salido scoring two knockdowns over Salido with left hooks. Garcia kept his composure letting Salido come to him while outboxing and outscoring him from the beginning of the fight. Another knockdown caused by a Garcia uppercut occurred in the third round, and another knockdown in the fourth after Garcia landed another left hook on Salido. The bout came to an abrupt end after Salido clashed heads with Garcia, breaking Garcia's nose. The doctors stopped the fight, therfore giving Garcia the win on a technical decision after the judges scored the bout 79-70, 79-69(twice). Mikey Garcia made easy work of Orlando Salido giving him the WBO Featherweight Title.
Gennady Golovkin defended his Middleweight title after defeating Gabriel Rosado on a 7th round stoppage. Golovkin bloodied Rosado pretty bad prompting Rosado's corner to throw in the towel, giving Gennady the victory.
A controversial draw between Juan Carlos Burgos and Roman Martinez occurred. Juan Carlos seemed to be in control of the fight serving up more punishment than his counter part, I sense a rematch in the future.

Fight Preview: Salido v Garcia
Tonight, the 1st major boxing fight card of 2013 takes place at the Madison Square Garden in New York. WBO Featherweight Champion, Orlando "Siri" Salido puts his title on the line against Mikey Garcia. This fight has the making and potential to be something special as both fighter's style compliment each other. It's the classic matchup between a counter-punching technician in Garcia, and the aggressive power style of Salido. I expect the first few rounds to be tactical, but once they get going watch out. Salido is coming off a few tune up fights after his huge win to beat Juan Manuel Lopez for the second time in Puerto Rico. Garcia has yet to be tested, although his display of great skills and matureness in the ring, and tonight is most definitely his biggest challenge as a rising star in boxing. Mikey must utilize his skills by keeping his distance against Salido, look for opportunities to counter Salido's attack, beacuse he will get that chance. Salido on the other hand must put pressure on Garcia and avoid counter shots, and when the chance to throw his big over hand right comes, he must do it with bad intentions. This is a great featured bout to kick off the 2013 season in boxing, can't wait for this one. Salido vs Garcia is promoted by Top Rank Promotions and will be televised live on HBO's World Championship Boxing at 6:45 PM PST.
Also in action will be Middleweight Champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin versus Gabriel 'King" Rosado in a WBA Middleweight Champion bout. Both men are trying to take the next big step in their boxing careers, and what better way and place to do it than in Madison Square Garden tonight.
Another championship fight will be taking place in the same fight card as WBO Super Featherweight Champion Roman Martinez will face off against Juan Carlos Burgos.
Noez Predicitons:
Mikey Garcia Wins by Split Decision
Gennady Golovkin Wins by 8th RD TKO
Juan Carlos Burgos Wins by Unanimous Decision
