Ortiz's victory catapulted him to a controversial bout against Floyd Mayweather J.R. in which he lost after being knocked out in the 4th round after unsportsman-like conduct by the two fighters. Berto won his last fight against Jan Zavek, where Berto got back to his winning ways by defeating Zavek and winning his IBF welterweight title.
I expect these two to give us the same fireworks that they gave us in their 1st fight. They both are still major players in the welterweight division, and a win by either fighter, can set themselves up to another mega fight. So the hunger to win by Ortiz & Berto should make this once again, another Fight of the Year Candidate.
I will be attending my first Vegas boxing match & am super excited to see these two fighters go at it again. Also in action will be Erislandy Lara v Ronald Hearns & Top Prospect Gary Russell v TBD. Should be a great night in boxing and I'm looking foward to being in attendance at the MGM in Las Vegas. The fight will also be televised on Showtime February 11th, 2012.
