This Saturday, October 13th, 2012 at Home Depot Center in Carson, California, Junior Featherweight Champion, Nonito Donaire will put his title up against Japanese Bantamweight Champion, Toshiaki Nishioka in a Super Bantamweight bout. Both fighters are on top of their weight class and this match could set-up either fighter with more notable fights. Although Donaire is considered a "Top 5 Pound-for-Pound fighter", a win versus Nishioka can catapult him into more mainstream fights. The same can be said for Toshiaki Nishioka who looks to upset the "Filipino Flash". Donaire is used to fighting fighters who are smaller than him, but on Saturday, he will fight Nishioka who will stand eye-to-eye with Donaire. Each fighter possesses great speed and agility in the ring with the slight edge given to Nonito. The power edge can also be given to Nonito who has great knockout power. Nishioka is the much older fighter, at 35 years old, compared to Nonito's 29 years of age. Nishioka became the 1st Japanese boxer to defend his title in U.S. and comeback home with the title. He did so when he defeated Mexican great Rafael Marquez almost a year ago. These two warriors go head to head on Saturday which promises to be one hack of a main event, look for fireworks in this match. Nonito Donaire vs Toshiaka Nishioka will air on HBO's Boxing After Dark at 7pm PST.
