Free Prodigy...March 7th

Mobb Deep's Prodigy is finally being released March 7th 2011.  His autobiography, "My Infamous Life" is set to drop April 19th 2011.  Here's a track that is supposedly 4 years old, but nevertheless, a real dope track.  Looking foward to Prodigy's upcoming work.

Ice T's Documentary, "The Art of Rap" (Trailer)

Just caught a glimpse of this trailer, looks real dope.  It contains interviews with some pretty hefty figures in hip hop.  I'll definitely be on the look out for this doc.

DJ Premier & Ludacris

Cool clip of DJ Premier and Ludacris.  Premeir dropped a gem of  a track on Ludacris's album, "MVP".  Here he talks about the old school Akai S-950.  Preemo also cuts up some Luda vocals to his House of Reps Beat, "U Gotta Love Us", it's a dope behind the scenes look at Preemo working on his legendary 'hook cuts'.  "Premier, take me out with the fader!"

Triple A Mayhem (a must see)...

Triple A Wrestling (AAA) rules for pulling stunts like this, jajajajajaja!

Self Scientific on w/ Fantastik 4our *Circa 2001

Self Scientific dropped by the 'Fantastik 4our' show to promote their album that had just dropped that week, "The Self Science" which was, and is, one of my favorite albums of all time.  Chase Infinite pretty much performs snippets of the album, Krondon stops by to help Self Scientific promte their album and also gets on the mic.  The recording also features DJ Yutaka from Japan, and features a track he produced for the late great Guru.  Circa 2001.  Good listen on this one, flashbacks to great late night radio!  Apparently this was taken from a cassette recording, JFX gets the assist.  Click on the link to check it out.

Dirty Freqs & Alternative Reality 'Time Bomb' Remix

Dirty Freqs back at it, as they team up with Alternative Reality to drop the remix to Laidback Luke's 'Time Bomb" feat. Jonathan Mendelsohn.  This remix has an ill drum intro, with a killer stab & melodic synth to compliment Mendelsohn's hook.  It then gets in to the meat of the track with energetic synths.  Overall a dope remix shot out by the Dirty Freqs & Alternative Reality.  Check it out...

Dre & Snoop rockin' @ Interscope Grammy After-Party

Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg drop some classics at the Interscope Grammy After-Party.  I think this took place at the Conga Room @ L.A. Live.  Snoop mocks the crowd about letting loose and getting their dance on, and observing how there's some 'boogee' peeps amongst the crowd.  Nevertheless they do drop the joints, like Nothing But A G Thang, Next Episode, Gin & Juice amongst others...

Enter The Dragon...funny clip

I was watching 'Enter The Dragon' this weekend, Bruce Lee is so good in this.  I came across a clip from the film that I had to post up.  It's actually pretty funny, dude takes a bite out of his opponent's leg making him make some hilarious faces as he's in pain, had me crackin' up.

Baseball Season is upon us

Ok so the 2011 Baseball season is upon us, and to commemorate the anticipation of the '11 Season, I would like to post up classic baseball cards of some strange looking baseball players.  I'm kickin' it off with Jim Leyland, looks like he should be conducting a train and not a baseball team, his hat is almost as high as Elmer Fudd's, jajaja!

Look-a-like of the Day...

Today's look-a-like of the day involves Balki from Perfect Strangers, the cheap sitcom on ABC that I think came out around the same time Family Matters and Full House was in full effect.  So Balki totally looks like ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike co-host Mike Greenberg, don't believe me, check it out:

Bigfoot Silva Destroys Legend Fedor

The Strike Force Heavyweight Grand Prix Tourney was kicked off this weekend with 2 tourney matches, the main fight involving Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva vs Fedor 'The Last Emperor' Emelianenko.  The fight lasted 2 rounds, in which the 1st round consisted of heads up strikes.  The 2nd round found Fedor down in full-mount position to the much bigger Silva.  Fedor did all he could to dodge and squirm out of being punished, but Silva had too much control and ended up closing one of Fedor's eye shut.  It was incredible that 'The Last Emperor' survived the round, but the bout was put to a halt when doctors determined that the MMA Legend wasn't physically capable of continuing the fight, and Silva was given the TKO victory.  Silva showed great respect to Fedor after the fight was called, and Fedor to a surprise, announced his retirement after an incredible MMA career.  What a way to kick off the tournament, Strike Force is in full effect.

J Dilla

Thought I would post up one of my favorite J Dilla cuts, first time I heard this track I was working the grave yard shift at the post office, I was on my zombie zone. I would be an avid listener to Friday Night Flavas, Divine Forces Radio, and Coast to Coast...well this J Dilla production had me going in such a great blissful feeling, and when I heard the remix, oh my gosh!!
J Rocc was probabaly the 1st DJ I heard spin this..I still remember finding the remix at the old Stacks location in Cerritos off of Piuma, copped doubles no doubt! One of the few cuts where both the OG and remix were equally as great, thank you J Dilla..nuff said, take a listen:

Stretch & Bobbito Show – 20th Anniversary Reunion Show –

One of the most influential radio shows ever!
Adrian “Stretch Armstrong” Bartos and Robert “Bobbito” Garcia, created one of the greatest and most influential hip-hop radio shows NYC has ever heard.  The “Stretch & Bobbito Show” saw the likes of Nas, Mobb Deep, Notorious B.I.G. Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, Wu-Tang, Kool G Rap, and Big Pun, stroll through the confines of the WKCR studio at Columbia University.  Most of these rappers were unsigned at the time, just looking for an outlet that would support the music and showcase their mic skills.  To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the show, Stretch Armstrong, Bobbito , and co-host Lord Sear, will be hosting a live event at Le Poisson Rouge in NYC, 2/10.  Check the link HERE for details and celebrate with some of the greatest personalities in Hip-Hop.

Look-a-like of the Day...

This one is simply on point, former New York
Met Pitcher and current baseball color analyst,
Ron Darling.  He damn near resembles L.A.
Dodger right fielder, Andre Either.
